Ruth Ann Holder Smith

 

Ruth Ann Holder Smith 1938 - 2012 Ruth Ann Holder Smith of Bakersfield, CA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 5, 2012. She was born on January 21, 1938 in Guthrie, OK to James and Velma (Turhune) Dutton. Ann enjoyed square dancing, Women's Aglow and was very active in her church and community both locally and in Pismo Beach. Ann is preceded by her parents in death. She is survived by her siblings, James Dutton and wife Barbara, and Carol Brunetti and husband Al. She is also survived by her children, Diane Ussery and husband Todd, Daniel Holder and wife Tracy, and Dennis Holder. Ann's grandchildren include Tamatha, Daniel Jr., Danielle, Samatha and Dillon Holder; Nathan Brown, Aaron and Joshua Ussery; Kari and Kirsten Holder; as well as great grandchildren, Cadin and Danica Holder, Kylee Johnson; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, January 10th from 4-7 p.m., at Mission Family Mortuary, 531 California Ave. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 11th, at 2:00 p.m., at Shafter Cemetery, 18662 Santa Fe Way, Shafter, CA. A reception will follow at Olive Knolls Church, 6201 Fruitvale Ave., Bakersfield, CA. www.bakersfield.com/obits
