Obituary for Julia Ruth Feil
Julia Ruth Feil was born in Bakersfield, on November 22, 1929, to parents Jacob and Emma (Elrich) Unruh. She attended local schools and graduated from Kern Union High in 1947. Julia married the love of her life, Eugene Feil, on June 10, 1948 at the Rosedale Bible Church. The couple made their home in Bakersfield for most of their lives, with the exception of a move to Indio in 2005, returning to Bakersfield in 2016. Gene and Julia were charter members of the Laurelglen Bible Church, where… they served very actively. After returning to Bakersfield they came full circle, back to the Rosedale Bible Church, where their journey began. Julia was a giving, caring, social woman who never met a stranger and loved to chat. She also loved her garden, always wanting colorful flowers planted. Gene and Julia enjoyed traveling around the world, but she was truly happiest when spending time with family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
Julia is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Gene Feil; sons, Donald Feil (Sharon), and Larry Feil (Debbie); grandchildren, Christine Anderson (Sean), Justin Feil (Amanda), and Shannon Thomas (Greg); as well as, 11 great grandchildren with another on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers, Robert Unruh and Howard Unruh.
