Margarita was born on July 10, 1936 in Namiquipa, Chihuahua, Mexico to parents Ramon Tena and Julia Salcido. Margarita grew up in Mexico where she married her husband, Jesus Chacon. They raise their children and decided to move to Shafter in 2004. Margarita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. She enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. Margarita was a fearless leader of the family even though she could be strict at times. Margarita was surrounded by her beloved family when she passed away on December 8, 2019 at her home in Shafter, Ca.
Margarita is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jesus Chacon; sons, Felix Chacon, Arnoldo Murillo; daughters, Silvia Martinez, Nancy Chacon, Julia Gonzalez; grandchildren, Mirina, Mayra, Jesus, Brenda, Selena, Jose, Alex, Giselle, Addam, Gabriel, Felician, Tony, Arnoldo Jr., Daisy, Leo; 14 great- grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 2-9pm with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home in Shafter. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 10am at St. Therese Catholic Church.
Margarita nació el 10 de julio de 1936 en Namiquipa, Chihuahua, México a padres Ramón Tena y Julia Salcido. Margarita creció en México, donde se casó con su esposo, Jesús Chacón. Criaron a sus hijos y decidieron mover a Shafter en 2004. Margarita era una amorosa, esposa, madre, abuela y bisabuela. Le gustaba pasar su tiempo con familiares y amigos. Margarita era una líder intrépida de la familia a pesar de que a veces podía ser estricta. Margarita estaba rodeada por su amada familia cuando falleció el 8 de diciembre de 2019 en su casa de Shafter, Ca.
Margarita es sobrevivida por su esposo de 60 años, Jesús Chacón; hijos, Felix Chacón, Arnoldo Murillo; hijas, Silvia Martínez, Nancy Chacón, Julia González; nietos, Mirina, Mayra, Jesús, Brenda, Selena, José, Alex, Giselle, Addam, Gabriel, Felician, Tony, Arnoldo Jr., Daisy, Leo; 14 bisnietos.
Un velorio sera miércoles 11 de diciembre de 2019 con una recitación del Santo Rosario a las 6pm en la Funeraria Peters en Shafter. Una misa fúnebre será jueves 12 de diciembre de 2019 a las 10am en la Iglesia Católica de Santa Therese.
