Odell "Bully" Barton passed away September 11, 2013 in Shafter, CA at the age of 67. He was born January 14, 1946 in Safford, Arizona to Warren and Pearl Barton. He moved to the Shafter area at seven years old and attended school in Shafter. He married Sherry Kellenberger in 1992 in Wasco, CA. He was an auto mechanic for most of his life and also worked as a pumper for Shell Oil Company. Bully loved to hunt, fish, camp and rebuild cars. He especially loved The Lord and his family. He is a member of Jesus Saves Church in Shafter.
Bully is survived by his wife, Sherry, sons Eugene Barton and Todd Kellenberger, daughters, Trisha Burris and Robbin Pena; brothers, Earl, Kenny and Darrell Barton, Sisters, Elsie Whitbey, Linda Mae Barton and Jerry Barton; grandchildren, Zachary Barton, Stacey Reed, Brooke Pena, Tracey Reed, Bryson Barton, Chelsea Pena DaJanae Reed, Taylor Pena, Destiny Reed and Anna Reed; great grandchildren, Camille Barton, Noah Barton, Carson Luna and Kenley Barton.
The family sincerely appreciates the loving and caring people at Hoffman Hospice for taking such great care of our most precious husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, in our most difficult time. Funeral will be held at Jesus Saves Church in Shafter at 10am, Monday, September 16, 2013. Visitation will be from 12-5pm, Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Peter Funeral Home in Shafter.
