Obituary for Ethae Mae Fenton

Ethae Mae, age 97, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 7, 2018. Mae, as she was known to most everyone, was born in McAlester, OK on May 7, 1920, to Alfred W. and Mary Viola (Moore) Roberson. Mae grew up in Oklahoma and moved to Shafter, CA with her family in her early teens and attended Shafter High School.
She met and married the love of her life, Coy C. Fenton in Shafter, CA. They were married on August 27, 1938, and were married 60 years. Mae worked for twenty-two years… at the Moorpark Flory Elementary School as a yard supervisor and chief cook before retiring to travel with Coy in their retirement years. Mae and Coy moved to Mariposa, CA from Moorpark, CA in 1989 and enjoyed ten wonderful years in the mountains and traveling. She moved back to Camarillo, CA in 2006 and was living in Royale Assisted Living in Thousand Oaks, CA when she passed away.
Mae leaves behind five children; Annetta (Phillip) Pascoe; Leon (Judy) Fenton; Alfred (Carol) Fenton; Clifford (Linda) Fenton; and Nancy Fenton Coleman. Sixteen Grandchildren; Tim (Melanie) Blackwell; Tracie (David) Douglass; Tamara (Tom) Perry; Cindy Fenton; Julie (David) Clingerman; Tiffany (Michael) Montesano; Shannon (Colleen) Fenton; Cherry (Brian) Buhr; Jennifer (Sean) Burris; Rob Fenton; Aaron Fenton; Tracy Roach; Wesley Fenton; Ravin Fenton; Clayton (Caren) Coleman; and Jenny (Michael) Bowman. She also leaves thirty-one great grandchildren and fourteen great great grandchildren. She also leaves two brothers; Truman (Freda) Roberson and Orval Roberson; and, two sisters-in-law; Mary Browner and Barbara Scott. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.
Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Coy C. Fenton; parents, Alfred and Viola Roberson; one sister and two brothers.
Mae was an amazing lady and was known for her smile, her kindness to others and her great cooking skills. She was never happier than cooking for a large group of her family. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
