Clydie Ray Thomas

Clydie lived in Oklahoma with his family and then they moved to Shafter, California when Clydie was a little boy. Clydie attended the crippled children’s school in Wasco, California. Clydie also attended Richland Elementary school and graduated from Shafter High School. Clydie loved playing cowboys and Indians growing up, he always wanted to be the cowboy. Clydie was very independent and defied all the odds. Clydie loved to watch football and would play football with his nephews at grandma and grandpa Thomas’ house. Clydie liked to play Monopoly and Dominoes with his nieces and nephews. He was good at counting and would win a lot. Clydie always dressed in his cowboy hat, his boots, his cowboy shirt and went to play poker and pool at the bar. Clydie would put on his special cologne when he went out and it would attract his lady friends who he had a special name for that made him grin from ear to ear. Clydie’s nieces remember him always being funny and laughing at everything and they remember that he loved everybody. In Clydie’s later years he resided at Kingston Nursing Home where he was the dominoes champion. He was very proud of that. Clydie is preceded in death by his father and mother S.W and Bernice Thomas, brothers; Donald, Marvin, Jimmy Thomas, sisters; Nadine Thomas and Linda Foster. He is survived by his sister Betty Sage. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. Clydie was loved by all and will be extremely missed but he is in Heaven and is in no more pain.
