Obituary

Ricardo “Ricky” Antonio Trujillo Acosta, 19, passed away on April 20,2021 in Shafter, California. He was born on January 5, 2002 in Bakersfield, California to Elida and Alvaro Trujillo.

Ricky grew up in Wasco, California. He graduated from Independence High School in Wasco, California in 2020. During high school he started his own business “Compitas Auto Detailing.” When he wasn’t working at Wasco Family Auto, he was detailing cars, where he continued to expand his business and made many friends.

Ricky enjoyed spending time with family and friends. You would often find Ricky at his grandparents house washing and detailing cars. Ricky was a funny, caring, sweet, hardworking young man. He captured everyone’s heart.

Ricky is survived by his parents, Elida and Alvaro Trujillo of Sinaloa, Mexico. His sister Michelle Trujillo and brother Alvarito “baby”Trujillo from Wasco, California. His grandparents, Francisco & Maria Trujillo, Alvaro & Carmela Trujillo, and Gabriel & Elizabeth Lopez. His aunts/uncles; Maricela Trujillo, Maribel and Armando Ayon, Marisol Trujillo, Jackie & Eddy Garza, Johanna and Nicolas Briones, David & Christina Lopez.

A rosary will be held at Basham & Lara Funeral Home, 343 State Ave., Shafter, CA 93263 on May 6, 2021 from 5pm To 10pm.

A funeral service will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church, 1300 9th Pl, Wasco, CA 93280 May 7, 2021 at 10:00am. Burial will follow the service at Shafter Cemetery, 18662 Santa Fe Way, Shafter, CA 93263
