Manuel S. Munoz “Chulo”, 66, passed away peacefully September 29, 2018 surrounded by family in Bakersfield, CA.
Manuel Munoz was born April 28, 1952 in Ft Stockton, TX to Fidela Munoz. He was a graduate of Fort Stockton High School (Class of 1971). He loved his family with all of his heart, and he touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a hard-working man, who was always there to lend a hand when needed. He enjoyed being around family and friends, barbequing, music, playing baseball, golf and watching his sons and grandchildren playing sports. He grew up in Ft. Stockton and moved to California shortly after graduating High School, where he met and married Irma Vega in 6/25/ 1977and together they raised four boys. His work with El Paso Natural Gas/Mojave Gas Pipeline allowed him to travel and live in Ft. Stockton, Ozona , Odessa TX, and Bakersfield CA.
He was preceded in death by his Mother Fidela; two sisters Senida, and Mary Vijil.
Manuel is survived by his wife of 45 years, Irma; three Sons – Manny, Michael and Marc; nephew Gilbert Vega; 4 grandchildren; brothers Apolonio, and Joe Munoz; two cousins John and Albaro Vijil.
A Memorial Mass of celebration will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, October 12, 2018, at St. Francis Catholic Church Bakersfield, CA.
