Lizette Sarahi Aldape-Haro passed away on July 12, 2012 in Bakersfield, CA. She was born September 12, 1991 in Duarte, CA to David and Teresa Aldape. In 1992, shortly after her birth, Lizette and her family moved to Shafter. Lizette attended Redwood Elementary, Richland Junior High, and Shafter High School. Lizette was always dreaming big; there was no aspiration that wasn’t within her reach. She wanted to be a nurse so she could bring healing to those in need, just like the countless nurses who had touched her young life. She always mentioned traveling to Spain and to one day be driving her very own Lamborghini. Being with Lizette was like being in the presence of embodied innocence. Lizette was the kindest and sweetest girl, touching everyone she met with her beautiful heart. Her time with us was all too brief, but God needed His angel to come back home. Lizette is preceded in death by her father, David Aldape, whom she missed dearly and always wanted to be with him; her sister, Jessica Aldape; and her paternal grandparents, Tomas and Dominga Leal. She is survived by her mother, Teresa Aldape; sisters: Daisy, Geinely and Jailyn; brothers: David and Eduardo; maternal grandparents, Luis and Adela Haro; and numerous other family and friends. Visitation for LIzette will be held at Peters Funeral Home Chapel in Shafter on Monday, July 16, 2012 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, with the Rosary beginning at 6:00 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church in Shafter on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 10:00 am, with interment to follow at Shafter Memorial Park.
