John Zecca 2807235

John “Jack” Zecca was born on February 7, 1934 in Pittsburg, PA to Bernard and Anne (Nesline) Zecca. John worked as an airline mechanic for TWA for 35 years. He also was a pilot and flew his own plane. He was an avid hunter. The last ten years of his life John kept himself busy by doing general contracting work while I his retirement.
John left us to be with the Lord on January 20, 2009 from his home in Bakersfield, CA. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Deleasa-Zecca; three daughters, Christine Zecca of Harbor City, CA, Jacqueline Elkins of Palos Verdes, CA and Tina Ruda of Hermosa Beach, CA; three sons and friends, Douglas Deleasa of Elma, WA, Edward Deleasa of Carlstadt, NJ and Steve Deleasa of Bakersfield, CA. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Dallas Elkins, John Paul Ruda and Georgia Ruda; brother, Bernie Zecca of Huntington, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Anne Zecca; brother, Bob Zecca; two sisters, Helen and Peggy. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed by his extended family and many friends whom he loved.
Father John Fluesch of St. John’s in Wasco will officiate a graveside service. Inurnment will follow, under the direction of Peters Funeral Home, Monday, January 26, 2009 at 11am, at Shafter Memorial Park for John “Jack” Zecca, age 74, of Bakersfield who passed away at home.
