Jacqueline "Alexis" Cuevas February 8, 1971 - August 23, 2011 Visitation for Jacqueline "Alexis" Cuevas will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles Street) on Monday, August 29, 2011 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church (300 W. Lerdo Hwy.) on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Shafter Cemetery. Jackie was one of a kind and will forever be in our hearts. We will miss her stories and great advice, even though they came with a little bit of white lies. She was the life of the party pulling everyone out to the dance floor, and she was always the best cumbia and meringue dancer. She was so proud of her family and would do anything for them. Jackie was tough and a hero to her brothers and sister. You are safe and pain free. Back in the loving arms of our mother. Jackie is preceded in death by her mother, Salud Herrera; brother, Gabriel Herrera and grandmother, Amalia Herrera. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Martha Herrera and Estevan Nunez; brother and sister-in-law, Mauricio Cuevas and Angie Romero; brother and sister-in-law, Jose and Michelle Benegas; aunts, Hortencia, Micaela and Maria; uncles, Juan and Eladio along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and many friends.
