Obituary for Randall 'Randy' Wayne Crosby
Randall Randy Wayne Crosby, father, son, fisherman, hunter, outdoor enthusiast, and avid collector, left this world on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in Bakersfield, CA. He was 62.
Randy was born in Wasco, CA on May 16, 1955 to Katherine Kay and Collins Crosby. He was the second of three children, the eldest being Diane and the youngest Beverly. Randy remained in Wasco throughout his childhood years.
From an early age, Randy was interested in heating and air conditioning with… his first job working for Martins Refrigeration in Wasco. From there, Randy would work several jobs before getting his air conditioning license and working for Stockdale Air. Later, Randy began working for the Kern High School District in the Maintenance and Operations department. During this time, he also secured his contractors license and began his own company, Pro-Tech Air Conditioning, along with building homes with his close friend under Brandt and Crosby Construction. Randy was a softhearted man, often times working without being compensated to help customers struggling with financial hardships.
One thing Randy never lacked was affection for those he loved. His daughters, Brianna and Tara, both remember Randy as a deeply loving father who treated his friends like family. His immense love and affection for all of his family will forever be in our minds and hearts.
Randy also had an amazing ability to make others laugh. Randy would constantly joke with whoever was around him. He had a loud laugh that was contagious, and he thrived on making others happy. His warm heart and loving personality will live on through those who love him.
Randy was preceded in death by his sister Diane Crosby and father, Collins Crosby.
Randy is lovingly survived by his mother, Katherine Bann; daughter Brianna and her husband, Matt Hughes; daughter Tara and her boyfriend, Eric Osborne; sister Beverly Aguirre and her children Lisa Salgado and husband, Patrick Salgado, Joseph Aguirre and his wife, Holli, Matthew, Michael, and brother-in-law, Johnny. In addition, Randy is also survived by his Great Aunt, Dorothy Hoffman; her two children, Shelley and Beth; and his former wife, Toni Crosby. He had several cousins and nine great nieces and nephews. Randy will always be remembered for his kindness towards others.
