James A Cole was born on Oct.22, 1946 in Waco,Texas to C. C. and Bertie Cole. James was one of six children and always wanted a big family. He loved spending time with his family and became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at a young age. He moved to California from Texas as a young adult and not too long after met his first wife Barbara

Ann Bradford they were married on April fools day 1969 until her death in 2004.They always had a joke about not being married; it never got old with them. He wanted a big family and got it when he married Barbara. He became a father at marriage to Barbara's two girls Jody Sharrock and Rebecca Morales and finally a father to Chad Edward Cole in November 1982, such a happy day for him nothing could bring him down. He worked for over 35 years at Superior Farms and Grimmway Farms in agriculture. He was a hard worker that always provided for the crowd of people that was always at his home and never complained about it. James loved the outdoors, loved riding bikes with his son Chad, his grandkids,nieces and nephews, and the rest of the neighborhood. He was just like a big kid and enjoyed having fun outside.He volunteered his time at Church, food banks, and whatever else people needed help with.He enjoyed going to little league games,school plays he was there at graduations and Birthdays. His favorite pastime was fishing; you could not get to the lake too early for him. James was married again to Sherri Lou Morales and they spent 14+ years running around until she passed away 30 days before James.

Once again James found the role of step dad to Bradley Morales they loved trips to visit his family in the midwest as well as trips to Oregon to visit his best friend Leroy Archer.James was preceded in death by his parents,two wives, numerous family and friends. James will be missed by many.He is survived by his sister Betty, son Chad Cole fiance Julie Campbell,daughters Jody Sharrock and husband John, daughter Becky Morales, grand children Amy Lira, Juan Lira, Katelyn Cole,Kayla Campbell,Emily Cole, Jackson Coats, Jayden Campbell, and four great grandchildren Aurora Felicano,Baylei Lira, Xaivier Lira,and Nile Hester more nieces and nephews then we can count. Jame was called home to be with the good Lord on June 26th,2023 after fighting a long battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis(IPF) , a lung disease!James will be missed very much but we are glad his suffering is over at last.
