Jeannette M. Bulaga 28311382

Jeannette was born on July 1, 1938 in Chehalis, Washington to Henry and Leola Mock. She left this earth to meet Jesus on June 29, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Pete Bulaga; her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Warren Richardson; and her parents.

Jeannette is survived by her daughter, Sandra Dunlap and her son, Shane Bulaga; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way; and numerous foster children and grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Clara Diffin and brothers, John Mock and James Mock; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jeannette loved all of her family dearly.

As a young girl Jeannette’s family moved to Northern California. At the age of 16 she met Pete Bulaga at church revival and they began dating. They dated for the next two weeks and by the third week they were married. Jeannette and Pete immediately started their family and they eventually moved to Southern California where Jeannette became the manager of The Broadway department store. Jeannette also served in ministry alongside her husband Pete for 47 years, which led them to settle in Shafter, California. Shortly after moving to Shafter, she began working for Stringham’s Shafter Drug Store until its closure. For the last nine years of her life, Jeannette was a member and great supporter of the Shafter Church of God where her daughter Sandra is the Pastor.

Jeannette’s life was dedicated to serving the Lord and her family. She had a love for sewing and making various things for others like quilts, pot- holders and Christmas stockings, to name a few. When she was not sewing you could find Jeannette playing Dr. Mario on her Nintendo 64.

The family would like to thank Dr. James Campbell, Optimal Hospice and their staff, and everyone who visited Jeannette before her passing. The love and support shown to the family is greatly appreciated.
