Obituary for Aurora Garcia

Aurora Garcia was born on December 5, 1925, to parents Rafael and Beatriz Acosta, in Edinburg, Texas. She resided in Texas with her parents and 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Aurora was married on October 31, 1940 for 52 years to Pedro Flores Garcia, until his passing on September 30, 1992. She was a caring, attentive mother who absolutely loved children. Aurora was blessed with 15 children, and later in life when she was 62 years old, she raised 2 of her grandchildren, Jennifer and Carlos Garcia.… She was a great example for us in the way she lived her life, always putting her family first and with her giving and loving ways. Aurora had a strong work ethic and was always the first to rise in the morning, making breakfast for everyone along with a large stack of fresh, home-made flour tortillas and always being the last one to go to bed. She traveled, along with her husband, to many different states before finally settling down in Shafter in 1961. After settling in Shafter, Aurora worked for Superior Farms for 17 years. Her life was filled with so much love, devotion, and kindness.
Aurora Garcia passed into God’s heavenly arms on December 30, 2017, with loved ones by her side. Left to mourn her loss with heavy hearts are her surviving children, Fidela Garcia, David Garcia (Angelica), Alicia Gomez (Fidel), Maria Dolores Espericueta, Carlos Garcia (Mary), Elma Mora (Pedro), Adela Garcia (Rene), Amelia Villalobos (Ted), Lydia Avalos (Phillip), Pete Garcia, Rosie Garcia, Victoria Cortez (David), Arturo Garcia, Manuel Garcia (Celina); and her 51 grandchildren; 108 great-grandchildren; 40 great-great-grandchildren; her surviving siblings include Ramiro Acosta, Hortencia Espericueta, Luz Garza, Olivia Sanchez. Aurora is preceded in death by her Husband Pedro; her sons, George Garcia, Adolfo, who died in infancy; two son-in-laws Joe Espericueta and Bobby Navejas; and her grandson, Gabriel Garcia; in addition to her siblings, Desiderio Acosta, Alberto Acosta, Abel Acosta, Rafaela Galaviz, Jesusa Cabrera.
