JERAL DEE BLAINE FOTH
1932 - 2019

Jeral, known to all as "Jerry", left us to be with the love of his life Leona on January 15, 2019. They had been married for 64 years before her passing in April of 2017 and had a full life of memories.

Jerry was born in 1932 in Lincoln, Missouri to Edward & Pearl Foth. He lost his mother in infancy, leaving his Father, Grandmother Anna Foth "Mom", and Aunt Mildred to raise him and his older sister. His family later moved from their home in Kansas to Bakersfield. He attended East Bakersfield High School and joined Army Reserves. He was called to active duty in 1952. He was stationed at Fort Ord and completed his active duty in Germany. After leaving the service he began a forty-five year career overseeing oil well drilling in California, off shore platforms, numerous states, Venezuela, and Canada.

Family was always his priority and was a good friend to many. He was known for being a jokester and could never resist pulling a practical joke, make someone laugh, or at least crack a smile. He and Leona belonged to the Vintage Chevrolet Club and together they enjoyed restoring classic Chevrolet's and going on road trips. He always had a passion for old cars, casino's, fishing, and always had his lottery numbers.

He leaves behind his sister Jenny Judd, daughters Ruth Ann Aldridge and Susan Heuston; three grandsons, three granddaughters, nine great granddaughters, and two great grandsons. He was welcomed upon his passing by his wife, infant son, grandson, and a great granddaughter. Our family now has one more guardian angel.

Graveside services will be held at the Shafter Cemetery on Wednesday, January 23rd, at 2:00 p.m.
