David Ulysses Aldape passed away on February 13, 2020, at home in Bakersfield, CA.  He was born on January 11, 1987, in Ventura, CA, to David and Teresa Aldape.

David grew up in Shafter, CA. He attended Shafter High School and graduated in 2005. While attending Shafter High School, David Aldape #10 was a running back for the varsity football team. He was looked up to by many of his friends and classmates.  After high school, David worked for Energy Link and Aera Energy, where he worked as a mechanic and an operator.  David received a five-year service award for his work with Aera Energy.  David loved sports both playing and watching, in particular, the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco Giants. One of the best moments in his life was witnessing his Giants win the World Series in 2014 and his Eagles will the Superbowl in 2018.

He played flag football, softball, among other sports in his off time with his friends. He loved cars, in particular, his orange Mustang Boss 302 and loved watching shows like Top Gear and taking his car to the racetrack. David enjoyed traveling, and he wanted to see the world. David loved his family and found so much joy in being with his family.  His family was his pride and his best friends, and he had a special relationship with his siblings.  David loved his nephew Liam who was a ray of light and joy and brought him so much pride to be a part of his upbringing. David’s soulmate was his long-term girlfriend, Adia Smith who he met in high school and he loved her until his last day. There is no doubt that David will continue to be with his family even after death.

David is survived by his mother Teresa Aldape, siblings Daisy Aldape, Eddie Aldape, Geiney Aldape, and Jailyn Aldape.
