Chelsey was born in Bakersfield, Ca to parents George Lerma, Jr. and Kimberly Tatum. She had a tremendous love for her family and did her best to protect them at all costs. Chelsey had a special love for animals, always bringing home strays and she loved her dog and companion “Baby Girl” very much. She loved to laugh, she hated to cry, and even though she often referred to herself as “fun sized”, she was a fire cracker. She trusted everyone, she thought everyone was her friend, and she would share everything that she had with anyone else that may have needed it. She was a hopeless romantic, very sentimental, and often kept and cherished things that others wouldn’t. She made sacrifices that many people wouldn’t when she knew she couldn’t give 100%. She put the happiness of others before herself and always believed that she wasn’t enough. She will be missed. Chelsey entered eternal life on July 8, 2020.
Chelsey is survived by her parents Kimberly and Mike Tatum, George and Shamarie Lerma; daughter, Emily; 2 sons; best friend and sister, Julia White; siblings, Tristan Lerma, Michael Tatum III, Noah Tatum, Shawn White, Kelly Lerma, Isaiah Tatum, Joaquin Dydel, Jenessa Hamilton, Jennifer Hamilton, Jessica Hamilton; grandparents, Mike and Darline Tatum, Cheryl Wakely, David and Lorraine Johns, Steven Spencer, George Lerma, Sr.; great- grandparents, Michael Williams, Bernice Johns; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Dee Dee Spencer; great- grandmother, Rosa Williams; great- grandfather, Ben Temple; great- aunt Debbie Barton; uncle, Paul Lerma; cousin, Chase Gonzales.
