Efrain Garza was born in Wasco, California on August 3, 1969 to Pedro and Maria De La Luz (Moreno) Garza. Efrain was a small town boy. He grew up in Shafter and attended Richland Schools. He was liked by all. He was raised in church and active in The Royal Rangers. Efrain attended Shafter High and gained a reputation of being a trend setter and with his lively personality he was known to be the life of the party. Church continued to be an important part of his life, he enjoyed going to winter… youth camps and youth conventions. Through his teenage years he exerted his responsibility and worked at Burger King he graduated in 1988. Immediately after graduating he attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in North Ridge. The small town boy had arrived to the big city. He studied for 1 year and soon after found success. His creative trend setting sense of style was fully utilized by his employers Marge Mohr Boutique on Melrose Avenue in Beverly Hills, Visuals and Benefit counter at Macys in the Beverly Center. Efrain moved back to Shafter 12 years later. Efrain loved to dance to everything, he was very social. He loved fashion, watching the Cowboys Football game and cheering very loudly, and his trip to Cancun. He enjoyed talking to all his friends and would call everyone on his contact list and his mom would say “leave them alone” and of course he didn’t listen. He enjoyed his time with Grandpa Richard and every day would remind his mom he loved her. His life was short but full of vitally, spark and spunk. He went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2015 and is now in Christ’s embrace living out his favorite bible verse Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Efrain is survived by his parents Pedro and Maria Moreno; brothers Pete and Marcus; sister Vanessa; eight nephews and three nieces.
