Pamela Lorraine Blair

Pamela L. Blair, 66, of Bakersfield passed away unexpectedly on June 23rd at San Joaquin Hospital in Bakersfield, California.
Pam was born in San Jose to Roy and Ruth Chandler on August the 2nd, 1955. She is survived by her spouse Douglas H. Blair and her two children Lauren and Justin. She is also survived by four grandchildren Chase and Olivia Landry as well as Jacob and Coleson Blair and her two siblings Gary and Donnie Chandler.
Pam grew up in McFarland, California next door to her future husband Doug Blair. She graduated from McFarland High School in 1973. She later went on to marry Doug Blair on July 9, 1979. The couple welcomed their first child Justin on January the 9th, 1980 and their second child Lauren on February the 15th, 1983. Pam and Doug would have been married for 43 years this year.
Pam’s family was her pride and joy. She was a proud mother and grandmother. She enjoyed baking brownies with her grandkids and keeping her house well decorated for the holidays. Pam was always well dressed and put together. She loved shopping. Pam loved going on vacations to the beach with her husband Doug in their fifth wheel. She was looking forward to many more trips during their retirement years.
Pam loved to attend church at The Bridge Bible Church in Bakersfield. She loved to sing along with her favorite Christian songs. Pam was a fan of Michael W. Smith and enjoyed listening to Barry Manilow and Christopher Cross. She was an avid tennis fan and loved to watch Gunsmoke and ghost mystery shows on tv. Pam was also a huge animal lover. Her energy, enthusiasm and kind heart will forever be missed.
Calling hours will be held at Peter’s Funeral Home in Shafter on June 30th, 2022, from 4-8:00pm.
The funeral service will be held at the Shafter Cemetery and will be graveside on July 1, 2022, at 1:00pm. Reception immediately to follow at Lauren and Adam’s house at 3:30pm, 13310 Dali Avenue Bakersfield, CA 93314 code #2973. Peter’s funeral home will be handling the arrangements.
