Jerry Leon McCaslin passed away unexpectedly on February 11th, 2023. Jerry was born on December 7th, 1959, to Billy and Juanita McCaslin in Bakersfield CA, he was the middle sibling to brothers Larry and Gary. Jerry was blessed with three children: Jerry Daniel, Jerret Wayne and Jessica Marie.
Jerry was a 3rd generation trucker. He went on to take over McCaslin Trucking and McCaslin Harvesting in 1989. Jerry was also part owner and board member of Golden Empire Shelling, some of his proudest accomplishments happened through harvesting sugar beets. Jerry loved the Lord and driving trucks. He enjoyed watching Nascar, football, riding and racing motorcycles, going to car and truck shows, but above all fishing was his passion.
Jerry was known for his heart of gold and his tremendous amount of respect for others. He loved and honored his mother and father, protected and loved his children, and cherished every moment with his grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his father, Billy; brother, Gary; fiancé, Gladys; his 3 children, Jerry, Jerret and Jessica; along with his 4 grandchildren, Preslee, Elissa, Billy, and Tucker; and his 2 German Shepard’s Reno and Tahoe. He was proceeded in death by his mother Juanita and his brother Larry.
Jerry will be remembered for being a hard worker, his sense of humor, his unconditional love, and his gratitude towards God’s blessings.

Visitation will be held at Peters Funeral Home on Thursday, February 23, from 4:00 to 8:00pm; funeral will be held at Shafter Mennonite Brethren Church on Friday, February 24, beginning at 10:00am and interment to follow at Shafter Memorial Park.
