Nona Hugean Gonzalezs

Gean was born November 11, 1953, in Bakersfield, California to John H. Breland and Fairy Doll Tucker. Gean was a lifelong resident of Bakersfield and passed away on August 26, 2021, at the age of 67. Gean grew up in Weedpatch, California with her three siblings, Bill, Ann, and David Breland. Gean married the love her life, Domingo Gonzales, on September 17, 1971, when she was only 17 years old. Gean was a proud housewife to Domingo and mother to Michael and Malissa. She often spent her spare time at church where she worked in the nursery and was a Sunday school teacher. She could also often be found at the hospitals praying for the sick.

Mom liked sweets so much she could have pie for breakfast or a bowl of ice-cream for dinner. She was a member of the Choctaw Nation. Mom fought bravely and fiercely for her loved ones and above all, she put her family first.

Gean is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Domingo. Her daughter Malissa Ray (husband Patrick); daughter-in-law Tammy Gonzales; grandchildren Austin (wife Crystal), Josie Manning, Tucker Manning, and Triston Ray; Greatgrandchildren Austin Jr, Natalie and Paisley.

Gean is preceded in death by her parents, John and Fairy Breland; Son Michael John Gonzales; Grandson Michael Gonzales.
